    Research Assistant

    Partnership to End Addiction is a national nonprofit uniquely positioned to reach, engage and help families impacted by addiction.     We are seeking a Research Assistant with training and experience in psychology, public health, or health communication to work with our Senior Vice President of Prevention Research and Analysis on a range of substance use prevention/healthy youth development projects and initiatives. Activities may include: the collection of new data; the review, analysis and documentation of existing literature and data; the drafting of tools, training materials, presentations, guides, reports, and research manuscripts; and collaborative activities designed to improve the prevention of substance use and addiction and the promotion of child health and resilience in communities across the United States.

    This position is funded at least through August 2026. Duration of employment is limited to the duration of the grants/contracts, which may have the option for extension beyond that date. 

    Responsibilities of the job include: 

    • Demonstrate and reflect the mission and values of the organization.
    • Proactively coordinate and collaborate with colleagues to fulfill mission and objectives of the job.
    • Conduct research on substance use prevention and healthy child development, including literature reviews, survey development, key informant interviews, community needs assessments, basic data analysis;
    • Assist in designing and developing informational tools, resources, and customized training materials for educators, health care providers, parents, policymakers, and other key target audiences;
    • Assist in the production of research-based reports, guides, presentations, and journal manuscripts;
    • Assist in other project-related tasks as needed

    Qualifications: 

    • Bachelor’s degree in psychology or health-related field
    • Relevant research experience
    • Strong organization and time management skills
    • Excellent writing and communication skills
    • Strong research and analytical capabilities, organizational skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office programs

    Starting Pay Range: 

    $45,000 – $50,000 based on relevant experience and qualifications.

    Note: We are working in a hybrid capacity.  The Research Assistant will work in the New York City office at least one day per week.
