    Research Associate – Part-time

    Partnership to End Addiction is seeking a part-time (20 hours/week) Spanish-fluent Research Associate (RA) to join a small research team that develops and tests digital interventions to address substance use in pregnant and postpartum people. The RA will work primarily on a foundation-funded project aimed at developing a digital helpline intervention to support pregnant and postpartum people who struggle with substance use. This position is funded through May 2026. Duration of employment is limited to the duration of the grant.

    Responsibilities of the job include: 

    • Demonstrate and reflect the mission and values of the organization.
    • Proactively coordinate and collaborate with colleagues to fulfill mission and objectives of the job.
    • Conduct online focus groups, semi-structured interviews, and assessments with study participants in English and Spanish.
    • Transcribe and code qualitative data in English and Spanish.
    • Translate project materials into Spanish.
    • Assist in developing materials for training helpline specialists in new service model.
    • Coordinate communication with study participants and consultants.
    • Manage participant recruitment and data collection.
    • Coordinate with state partners to support advertising, participant recruitment, and collection of state data.
    • Work under limited supervision, while exercising independent discretion and judgment to accomplish goals.

    Qualifications: 

    • Master’s Degree in psychology, public health, or related field, or Bachelor’s Degree plus 2+ years’ equivalent work experience.
    • Previous project coordination experience.
    • Strong organization and time management skills.
    • High level of attention to detail.
    • Fluent in Spanish (ability to read, write, and speak).
    • Ability to work as part of a cohesive team, but also to exercise independent judgment when needed to achieve goals.
    • Some data analysis experience preferred, preferably using R or SPSS.

    Starting Pay Range: 

    $32.50 – $35.50/hour based on relevant experience and qualifications.
