Mithra Salmassi

Mithra Salmassi researches and writes for substance use prevention-oriented research projects, which focus on both early childhood and adolescence, and assists in coordinating and creating in-person trainings and webinars for behavioral health providers in New York State. Mithra was an intern at the organization prior to joining as a full-time employee, where her primary research focus was on the effects of stigma on addiction treatment and policy. She is additionally interested in the effects of discrimination on the welfare of marginalized groups as it relates to mental health and addiction. Mithra received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English and psychology with a concentration in gender, sexuality and women’s studies from the College of the Holy Cross.
