    Scott Hadland, M.D., MPH

    Dr. Scott Hadland is the Chief of Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine at Mass General for Children and Harvard Medical School. He is a pediatrician and an expert in caring for teens and young adults with addiction. He has been an international leader in educating other pediatricians and general practitioners on addressing mental health problems and substance use in youth. He was recognized as the Emerging Leader in Adolescent Health from the American Academy of Pediatrics, the largest organization of pediatricians worldwide. He has published more than 100 scientific articles, and his work has been featured in The New York Times, Washington Post, CNN, NBC News, CBC News, and other leading news outlets.     Julie Potter, M.D.

    Dr. Julie Potter is a member of the Division of Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine at Mass General for Children and Harvard Medical School. She is a pediatrician and expert in caring for adolescents and young adults for a variety of conditions, including substance use, mental health, contraception, menstrual disorders, and eating disorders. Her clinical research has focused on parent involvement in adolescent in substance use and contraception.     Meredith Glass, MPH

    Research Coordinator

    Meredith Glass is the Clinical Research Coordinator for Massachusetts General Hospital, Division of Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine working under Dr. Scott Hadland. She completed her BA at New York University and holds a Master of Public Health focusing in Maternal and Child Health from the University of North Carolina. Meredith’s research interests focus on the role that early adverse childhood experiences play in the development of adolescent and young adult psychopathology. She is passionate about evidence-based interventions that promote the healthy development of children, adolescents and adults. Her life’s mission is to encourage human flourishing by furthering behavioral health interventions that meet the needs of vulnerable youth.

    Kelly Ann Johnson

    Research Coordinator

    Kelly Johnson (she/her), B.S. is a clinical research assistant in the Pedi-Adolescent Medicine department at Massachusetts General Hospital. She is a recent graduate from West Chester University of Pennsylvania (WCU) where she studied psychology and health science. There, she was co-founder and president of the WCU Chapter Students for Sensible Drug Policy, in which she advocated for and spoke out to the community about harm reduction strategies and drug education. She was also part of a team to develop WCU’s Naloxone Program, in which students, faculty, and staff can now easily access naloxone and other related drug education and support. She hopes to one day become a clinical psychologist and continue working in the field of addiction and harm reduction education.
