The Trump Administration is expected to ban all flavored e-cigarettes except for menthol and tobacco, The Wall Street Journal reports.

In September, President Trump announced he had directed the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to ban the sale of most flavored e-cigarettes. The White House revised that plan after pushback from conservative groups, the article notes.

Under the proposed plan, e-cigarette makers could apply to the FDA for permission to bring flavored products back on the market, but only if they could show the products provide a net benefit to public health.

Last month, more than 50 health and advocacy groups urged the administration to ban all flavored vaping products.

How to Talk With Your Kids About Vaping [GUIDE]

Vaping’s popularity exploded seemingly overnight, and it took many parents and families by surprise. Vaping, or Juuling as it is often referred to by teens and young adults (named after a popular vape device called JUUL), is the inhaling and exhaling of an aerosol produced by using a vape device.

There is no evidence that reducing vaping flavors from hundreds to just two will do any good for anyone. I help people quit smoking by urging them to try non-tobacco and non-menthol flavors to help them learn to dislike the taste of tobacco. Many will no doubt go back to smoking and die as a result. This rule is unethical and unscientific.
