The Trump Administration is expected to ban all flavored e-cigarettes except for menthol and tobacco, The Wall Street Journal reports.
In September, President Trump announced he had directed the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to ban the sale of most flavored e-cigarettes. The White House revised that plan after pushback from conservative groups, the article notes.
Under the proposed plan, e-cigarette makers could apply to the FDA for permission to bring flavored products back on the market, but only if they could show the products provide a net benefit to public health.
Last month, more than 50 health and advocacy groups urged the administration to ban all flavored vaping products.
