Karla Castro-Soto provides direct services to families impacted by substance use and addiction at Partnership to End Addiction, where she also leads the Helpline Program and supervises clinical staff.
Clinical Experience: Former case manager at Bellevue Hospital Center, Mental Health Association of NYC, and community mental health settings. Crisis intervention specialist with National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, NY State HOPEline, and Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services.
Expertise: Family-centered addiction treatment, crisis intervention, bilingual/bicultural therapy, evidence-based treatment adaptation for Spanish-speaking communities, mental health and substance use co-occurring disorders.
Credentials: M.S. in marriage and family therapy (2009), B.A. in psychology with minors in Spanish and Latin American/Caribbean studies. Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) certified. Fully bilingual (English/Spanish).
