More Than One-Fourth of Opioid Poisonings Involve Children and Teens: Study
More than one-fourth of opioid poisonings involve children and teens, and they have become increasingly severe in recent years, according to new research.
The U.S. Department of Justice's Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) will award grants of up to $200,000 under its Gang Prevention Coordination and Assistance Program.
The program is designed to reduce gang membership and affiliation Nonprofits and public agencies may apply. Up to a dozen grants will be made in FY2009.
