Maine Alcohol and Other Drug Advocacy Leadership Training Institutes

We invite you to participate in a one-day Advocacy Leadership Training Institute, co-sponsored by AdCare Educational Institute of Maine, Maine Alliance to Prevent Substance Abuse (MAPSA), Maine Alliance for Addiction Recovery (MAAR), and Maine Association of Substance Abuse Programs (MASAP).

The institute is open to anyone who is concerned about alcohol and drug related problems in Maine and would like to make a difference by advocating for prevention, treatment and recovery policies, funding and services.

The institutes will provide the latest information, strategies and skills so that participants feel comfortable and confident when advocating for funding or policies.

The expectation for participants is that they will: attend the one-day leadership advocacy institute and join us to advocate for AOD policy & funding changes that will address these problems while strengthening Maine communities.

Training dates are:

• South: Friday, June 12, Portland, Portland City Hall (please register by June 9)
• North: Friday, June 19, Bangor, United Technology Center (please register by June 12)
