    CDC director confirmed

    The Senate confirmed Susan Monarez, a long-time government employee with two decades of experience working on health policy, to lead the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). She was sworn in as director, marking an end to the agency’s four months without a director or acting head.
