Brooklyn Man Charged with Making ’Liquid Marijuana’

Undercover detectives in New York City bought a dark-green liquid from a Brooklyn drug dealer that they said was a form of ’liquid marijuana,’ and jars of the substance were later seized in a raid on the man’s home.

The New York Times reported Nov. 12 that police found eight Mason jars full of the liquid at the home of Anthony Briordy, as well as cocaine and prescription painkillers.

Briordy said he made the mixture itself and claimed a four-ounce portion was stronger than smoking a marijuana cigarette. Lab tests confirmed that the liquid contained marijuana, and police said alcohol and fruit punch were other ingredients.
