    Associate Director, Prevention Services

    Partnership to End Addiction is seeking a full-time Associate Director of Prevention Services to serve primarily as a liaison and coordinator for a broad multi-site project in New Jersey focused on youth substance use prevention and mental health promotion, and to facilitate research and service delivery for similar projects in other sites across the U.S. The role involves providing technical assistance and consultation; conducting research and evaluation; developing and delivering trainings to school professionals, community groups, and caregivers; managing relationships with site leaders and participants; and providing other project support. The Associate Director will report to and work closely with the Director of Prevention Services and the SVP of Prevention Research and Analysis and other team leaders.

    Duration of employment is limited to the duration of project funding.

    Responsibilities of the job include: 

    • Demonstrate and reflect the mission and values of the organization.
    • Proactively coordinate and collaborate with colleagues to fulfill mission and objectives of the job.
    • In collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, help to design, implement, deliver and evaluate community-, school- and family-based prevention/youth health promotion programming, including providing technical assistance, trainings, and public presentations and conducting evaluation research with key target groups at the studies’ sites.
    • Work on-site in northern and central New Jersey, on average once a week.
    • Work at least one day per week on site at the Partnership’s Manhattan office.

    Qualifications: 

    • Master’s degree in a relevant social science or public health field, plus
    • 2+ years on-the-ground experience in delivering, implementing, and evaluating prevention programming in schools and communities
    • Subject matter expertise in prevention science and programming
    • Professional experience and expertise in prevention science, research methods, data analysis, and the ability to translate research into practical advice and trainings for partners
    • Expertise in program evaluation
    • Field experience coordinating and collaborating with schools and community-based organizations
    • Strong organization, time management, and interpersonal skills
    • Strong project management skills and experience
    • Excellent writing, communication, public speaking, and presentation skills and comfort with presenting to adult audiences
    • Ability to work as part of a cohesive team, but also to work independently when needed to achieve goals
    • Ability to travel to partner sites in the NY metropolitan area, primarily New Jersey
    • Bilingual (Spanish and English) strongly preferred

    Annual Salary Range:  $65,000 – $75,000
