At-Risk Young Men Focus of 2010 RWJF New Jersey Health Initiatives

Projects that foster positive intellectual and emotional development and prevent violence and related health-risking social behaviors such as substance abuse, physical aggression, and delinquency in young men ages 14 to 24 may apply for funding via the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation's (RWJF) 2010 New Jersey Health Initiatives Program.

“Project funds will support prevention efforts using evidence-based or promising models of positive program solutions for young men at risk,” according to the foundation.

Public entities and 501(c)3 nonprofits may apply. Up to six grants of no more than $400,000 will be awarded over a three-year period to groups.

Application deadline is Jan. 28, 2010. For more details, see the full grant announcement online.
