The Partnership to End Addiction is dedicated to supporting families as they search for answers to address their son or daughter’s substance use. We’ve been on the front lines of this issue for three decades. We offer personalized guidance and support for families struggling with addiction. We have unparalleled resources and we empower families to take action.
But we can’t do it alone. Your voice can make a difference. Together, we can solve this crisis.
Addiction is a chronic disease. Let’s treat it that way. The sense of isolation that families feel when struggling with addiction is unconscionable and we must change that by speaking out and ending the stigma of addiction.
With the recent President’s Commission on Combating Drug Addiction and the Opioid Crisis and the National Declaration of a Public Health Emergency, we have a clear path forward to address this crisis. Still, we all need to make our voices heard to ensure this issue remains a priority and that there is the political will to dedicate the necessary resources to end the epidemic.
There are simple actions you can take in your home to combat the opioid crisis. Two-thirds of teens report getting prescription drugs from family or friends. Let’s change that by safely securing and disposing of our medications. Find support for your loved one and help them engage in treatment to get on the path to recovery.
Whether it’s being prepared to reverse an opioid overdose or educating others on the risks of misuse and abuse, you can help save lives. There are a number of ways you can get involved in the fight to provide help and hope to others.
