Michael Kwan manages and coordinates data collection and reporting on two Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) grants. The first is focused on the integration of primary health care and mental health care. The second expands access to medications for addiction treatment, primarily focused on at-risk and underserved populations. Michael works closely with project coordinators at substance use treatment facilities involved in each grant to ensure that they are collecting and reporting data as required by SAMHSA. He is also collaborating with colleagues on the Health Services Research team to develop and carry out the evaluation of both grants. Michael received his Bachelor of Arts degree in biochemistry and molecular biology at the College of Wooster and his master’s degree in public health with a concentration in epidemiology from New York University.
