Walmart has announced it will no longer sell e-cigarettes at its stores in the United States.

“Given the growing federal, state and local regulatory complexity and uncertainty regarding e-cigarettes, we plan to discontinue the sale of electronic nicotine delivery products,” Walmart said in a statement.

While vaping products make up only a small percentage of the company’s revenue, customers who purchase e-cigarettes tend to be younger and more loyal, The New York Times reports. They often buy other items when they come in to purchase vaping supplies.

Other chains that have stopped selling e-cigarettes include Rite Aid, Dollar General and Costco. Target never sold vaping supplies, and stopped selling cigarettes in 1996, the article notes.
