We hosted our fifth All-Star Tasting last week at Chef Tom Colicchio’s Riverpark restaurant in New York City. It was a terrific summer night filled with festivities and culinary delights, bringing together celebrity chefs and professional athletes in support of our important work to help families in need.
Attendees sampled delicious food from participating restaurants and VIP guests attended a special demonstration from Chef Jesse Schenker, Iron Chef America winner and Owner of recette and The Gander in New York City, who made guests an innovative bacon, egg and cheese ravioli. The athletes also participated in a fun sushi rolling challenge, sponsored by New York-based Haru Sushi restaurant. Kiah Stokes of the New York Liberty was named sushi champion. Top NYC food and travel blogger Jason Baker, @jasoneats, took over our Instagram for the day and shared fun pics and videos from the event.
The event has raised close to $120,000 and the great news is you can still support families struggling with their son or daughter’s substance use by making an online donation.
