The Conrad N. Hilton Foundation is seeking nominations for its 2011 Hilton Humanitarian Prize.

A grant of $1.5 million will be awarded to “an organization anywhere in the world doing extraordinary work to alleviate human suffering.” Nominations must come from individuals with direct knowledge of the nominee; self-nomination is not permitted. Nominees should be nonprofit groups established for at least five years and with an annual operating budget exceeding $500,000.

Application deadline is April 30, 2010.
