Drug-market disruption and gang prevention are among the priority areas of the 2010 Community-Policy Partnership Awards, sponsored by the MetLife Foundation and the Local Initiatives Support Corporation.

Two types of grants will be made: six Neighborhood Revitalization Awards of $15,000 to $25,000 will recognize community-policy collaborations aimed at crime reduction and economic development; and six Special Strategy Awards of $15,000 will be granted to partnerships that have proven success in applied technology; aesthetics and green space improvement; diversity inclusion and integration; drug-market disruption; gang prevention and youth safety; or seniors and safety.

Community organizations, community development corporations, police/sheriff's departments, community partnerships, Weed & Seed programs, and coalitions comprised of two or more of these groups may apply. Application deadline is Feb. 26.
