Brief nominations are due Oct. 15 for the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation's (RWJF) Community Health Leaders (CHL) program.
Ten outstanding but unrecognized individuals who have worked to improve health and healthcare in communities will be honored with CHL awards. Each awardee will receive $125,000, including $20,000 in recognition of their work and $105,000 to support their projects.
Nominees should be midcareer community health leaders with a 3-10 year record of accomplishment that includes creating or enhancing healthcare access and quality for significant numbers of residents. Nominees should not have received high levels of prior national recognition for their work.
