Knowing that every grief journey is different, the Partnership holds space for parents and other caregivers who have lost children of any age to substance use. Join our peer parent coach facilitators who have also lost children to substance use. They offer grief resources, education, support and hope for healing. Register to join us.
Have you wondered how other people get through the loss of their child to substances? Receive text messages of hope, encouragement, and resources created by our peer parent coaches who have walked in your shoes. To join, simply text “Loss” to 55753. The service is free although data rates may apply. Text messages will appear on your phone twice a week.
Our peer parent coaches have put together a list of resources that they have found helpful when dealing with grief and loss. Resources like books, videos, and grief support groups to answer your questions about how to deal with the loss of a child, can be found here.
Families face too many roadblocks getting the help they need to address substance use problems and addiction. Stories of hope and promise often result in heartache, frustration and loss. We are using the power of storytelling to raise awareness as to what families face and highlight actions to fix the system. Learn more about advocating for change, and how to help someone who is grieving by sharing your story.
We have heard from countless families that they don’t want their loved ones to be forgotten. As a result, we have created our Partners for Hope program whereby you can honor your loved one with a memorial tribute and fundraise if you wish. This is one way to ensure that families like yours receive the support they need. Learn more.
Thank you for letting us be with you as a way to honor the life of your child and the lives of all our children, and the love that lives on.
