Want to make a difference this holiday season? Here are five easy ways you can support the Partnership and be there for families who need help for a child struggling with substance use or addiction.
1. Start with #GivingTuesday
This Giving Tuesday, a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media, share why you choose to support the Partnership. We invite you to help us share this important social media campaign leading up to and on Giving Tuesday, November 29 using our #UNSELFIE template and suggested sample social posts.
2. You Shop. Amazon Gives.
Use AmazonSmile this holiday season and Partnership for Drug-Free Kids will receive 0.5% of your total purchases from Amazon. AmazonSmile is the same Amazon you know. Just use the URL www.smile.amazon.com instead of www.amazon.com. Then enter our name – Partnership for Drug-Free Kids – as your charitable organization. Just in time for CyberMonday deals on November 28. Happy Shopping!
3. Send a Note to Show Support
The holidays can be especially hard for friends and family in recovery, and receiving encouragement from others can demonstrate how much they are loved and supported on their journey. Send them one of our eCards, and acknowledge the hard work and dedication it takes every day.
4. Get Tees to End Medicine Abuse
Did you know that 1 in 4 teens has abused a prescription medicine in their lifetime? Help raise awareness of medicine abuse with “MIND YOUR MEDS” T-shirts. Our partner, prinkshop, a cause-centric community, will donate 30 percent of the profits to the Partnership to help further our work in reducing teen medicine abuse.
5. Make a Monthly Gift
A gift of $100 is just $9 a month and allows our Helpline staff to support at least four parents seeking guidance for a child struggling with substance use. Consider making a monthly donation to the Partnership. Your gift will make an immediate difference in the life of a family who calls the Helpline. We are grateful for whatever you can give.
Thank you for your continued support of the Partnership for Drug-Free Kids. Your generosity will help families struggling with their son or daughter’s substance use. We are grateful for your thoughtfulness.
