We partnered with TASC of Arizona to launch a new, online learning tool to help address the opioid epidemic in the state.
Have you ever wondered why your teen acts the way she does? A recent podcast, presented by CIGNA and the Partnership for Drug-Free Kids, helps you understand why the developing teen brain is more vulnerable to drugs and alcohol, and what you can do to help your child make healthy decisions.
Guests included Ken Winters, PhD, Director of the Center for Adolescent Substance Abuse Research, a Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Minnesota, and a Senior Scientist with the Treatment Research Institute, and Kim Manlove, father and Parent Advisory Board Member of the Partnership for Drug-Free Kids. Kim lost his youngest son David in a drug-related drowning accident. Since then, he has been a passionate advocate of substance abuse awareness, prevention and education on both a local and national level. In sharing David’s story and helping other families, he believes David is making a difference in everyone’s lives.
