You Are Invited: Parent Webinar on Vaping

vaping-ecigarretes

Approximately one in three 12th graders has tried vaping. Although this trend, often referred to as JUULing, is marketed toward kids, its dangers aren’t as publicized. Kids are mistakenly sold on the idea that vaping is “safer” than cigarettes, when in actuality; vaping can lead to cigarette smoking. With this false conception, what can parents do?

The Partnership’s own Pat Aussem, Licensed Professional Counselor and Master Addictions Counselor, will lead a CIGNA webinar, JUUling, Dripping and More: What Parents Need to Know About Vaping. Part of the Cigna Behavioral Health Education Series, this webinar will inform families about what their children are really inhaling, along with helping them find the right words to talk about it. You can tune in on April 18, 2018 from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. EDT.

To find out more about why your children may be attracted to this new trend, and exactly how it will affect their health, register for this webinar through these simple steps:

  • Visit cigna.com/substanceuse at 1:00 p.m. EDT on April 18, 2018
  • Dial this U.S./CAN toll-free number: (866) 770-3260 or this international toll number: (509) 844-9004

In the event that you can’t make it, you can hear a replay of the seminar at cigna.com/substanceuse. Also, feel free to visit The Teen Vaping Trend – What Parents Need to Know to learn more about what you can do to educate your children on the reality of vaping.
