Deaths Due to Alcohol, Drugs and Suicide Have Soared Among Young Adults
Deaths from alcohol, drugs and suicide have soared among young adults ages 18 to 34, according to a new analysis.
National public or private nonprofit groups may apply for a share of $10 million in cooperative agreements to help communities fight smoking and obesity and promote physical activity and good nutrition.
The funding from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services is part of the Communities Putting Prevention to Work initiative and comes from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.
