The Blue Foundation for a Healthy Florida is now accepting applications for its 2009 grantmaking, which focuses on community-based solutions to the state's health problems.

The foundation, the philanthropic arm of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida, focuses on services to the uninsured and underserved, with a special emphasis on community health clinics and outreach. Up to $2 million in grants will be awarded in the foundation's summer and winter funding cycles. Grants range from $10,000 to $100,000 each.

Nonprofits in Florida may apply. Application deadlines are March 13 and Sept. 11.
