Community Outreach Specialist

Partnership to End Addiction seeks a bilingual (Spanish/English) Community Outreach Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our community outreach and engagement effort and promoting our services and programs to the Spanish-speaking community. In addition, the ideal candidate would be able to provide customer support to Spanish-speaking families receiving our services. The Community Outreach Specialist is a vital member of the family services team and reports to the Manager of Service Equity and Inclusion.

This position is funded by the Mother Cabrini Health Foundation grant through December 2023. Duration of employment is limited to the duration of the grant.

Responsibilities of the job include: 

• Demonstrate and reflect the mission and values of the organization.
• Proactively coordinate and collaborate with colleagues to fulfill the mission and objectives of the job.
• Develop and implement a community outreach strategy to make a meaningful connection with non-profit organizations that serve Spanish-speaking families in the State of New York.
• Develop and implement a strong community engagement plan to maintain the existing relationship with over 100 partners.
• Provide customer support to Spanish-speaking families receiving our services.
• Represent the organization at events and meetings in the Spanish-speaking community.
• Document progress and outcomes.
• Prepare reports, presentations, and other communications.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, community development, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in community outreach, public relations, or related field.
• Fluency in written and spoken Spanish required
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of local community resources and services, and the substance use disorder field

Starting Pay Range: 

$50,000 – $52,000 annual salary prorated on start date, and based on relevant experience and qualifications.

Note: We will be working in a hybrid capacity in 2023. The Community Outreach Specialist will work in the NYC office at minimum one day per week.
