    The 2015 Winter Wish Gala

Our 2015 Winter Wish Gala was held this week, raising $1.3 million to support our work to reduce substance abuse among adolescents. With more than 400 distinguished guests and friends in attendance, this annual celebration was made possible due to our dedicated volunteers and generous donors, at the historic Gotham Hall in New York City.

CBS News National Correspondent Jan Crawford emceed the event, which recognized three special honorees: Allergan, with Brenton Saunders, President and CEO, accepting; Martin Lipton of Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz; and Pfizer, with Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Frank D’Amelio accepting.

The 2015 MLB Commissioner’s Play Healthy Awards were presented to outstanding coach Chad Smock Maryland and exemplary, teen athlete Cameron Justice, both of Columbus, Ohio.

We honored David Sheff, The New York Times best-selling author of Beautiful Boy and an advocate for addiction prevention and treatment, with our Special Tribute Award in recognition of his voice and leadership for families who are struggling with addiction.

The evening also included a special performance by GRAMMY Foundation® and MusiCares® “Teens Make Music Contest” winner, Victoria Skye, singing her original song, “New Day.”

We’d like to thank all of our generous sponsors, honorees, donors and guests for making the 2015 Winter Wish Gala a success.
